On a related subject, ringer voltage is also a parameter that they can configure. When I first got started, I had to call CS because my phone wouldn't ring at all. Now it rings, but it won't if I have more than two phones on the line.
Unfortunately, I neglected to asked whether the ringer voltage was at max when I had them on the line. Before I spend another long wait on hold, does anyone know if there are more than 2 ringer voltage settings for the RTP300?

I'd imagine this plus proper call progress tones will be in the next firmware release...whenever that may be.
I don't think firmware will address it as these are configurable parameters now... You just have to be specific and know exactly what you want changed b/c not many VCS reps know how to configure these devices to that degree.
I would normally think that, but they changed the call progress tones with 1.00.50.

Maybe it was with 1.00.47... I didn't pester
Vonage
for a firmware update, so I had 1.00.45 before 1.00.50 and .45 didn't have the call progress tones changed, but .50 did. So, if you noticed it with .47, then that's when the started doing it.

Well, prior to 1.00.47/50, the RTP300 only knew how to make an outgoing ring tone, dial tone, and a 3 beep error tone. The 3 beep tone was used for everything from invalid phone # to timed out to everything else. Now it makes a proper fast busy tone for when the line times out, also makes a real busy tone. The only problem I've found so far (and has been mentioned in the forum) is that it gives a regular busy signal at the completion of a phone call rather than fast busy or another dial tone.

Actually, the RTP300 supports the following Call progress tones and has since the earliest firmware:
- Dial Tone
- Ringback Tone
- Disconnect Tone
- Congestion Tone
- Offhook Alert
- Busy Tone
- Remote Disconnect Tone
- Out of Service Tone
- Offhook Notice
- 4 Call Waiting Tones
Perhaps one or more of these values was configured with the same value, but I wouldn't think these values would change with a firmware upgrade but I guess anythings possible.
