I have an older model IPAQ H3835, and I am wondering if someone can tell me if it is possible to install softphone on this device? If it is, what software would I need and where would I get it. Do I need a special version 802.11 card |

What OS are you using? Most of the software is for PPC2003. I run Vonage softphone with good results, I use the SJLabs software. XTen also has software. With built in wifi, setup takes maybe ten minutes. |

I know Xten requires pocket pc 2003 and above, I know sjphone will work on the 3850 as I was using sjphone on an ipaq 3650 which came before the 3850. Just make sure you get the verions for pocket pc 2002. For wifi you will need wither a pcmcia card like the lucent orinoco cards, any non-cardbuss pcmcia wifi card or a cf card. Of course you will need either a pcmcia sleeve or cf sleeve. |
