I just got an email from the tech. Seems that TI withheld the upgrade again because they "think they can do better". He managed to push the beta to me so that's why I have it.
The good news is that this DOES fix the reverse echo problem. So once it is released the problem should be fixed for everyone.

I waited until Monday night for the firmware update, and it never came. Finally I called up
Vonage
tech support and managed to convince them to update my firmware to 1.00.47. It does seem to fix the echo for me.

I am having it sent as we speak. At first they said no can do, but I told them there was some echo, and then he said ok no problem. And now my power light is blinking for the upgrade...Weeee!

Our apologies on the long delay in getting the firmware released. Unfortionately, we were at the mercy of Texas Instruments on this. They did hold onto the firmware that was supposed to be released over the weekend. The firmware is, however, on the TFTP servers, so if anyone has a device out there that hasn't been upgraded, just give customer care a call, and they should be able to do it manually.
Again, we apologize for the long delay in getting this much needed fix out to our valued customers.

I believe that I found 1.00.47, but don't have the intestinal fortitude to attempt to flash it.
