I've personally tested 1.00.47 it seemed to get rid of the echo... Keep your fingers crossed about a push this weekend.
That's great news! Can't wait for the update to save my marriage.

Just wanted to post back and say that I purchased a WRT54GS v2 router, put sveasoft on and all my QoS issues are solved - what a difference it makes. I posted more detail on this in this

When are they pushing the next firmware update to this router? Do I have to call
Vonage
to get them to do it?
Also, will the Sveasoft firmware work on this router?
I've been through CS twice now. They originally told me it was the phone cord I was using (BS!) but I switched it. Then they pushed the new firmware to me...that didn't fix the echo either. And I still have poor/inconsistent wireless service coming from the router.
They told me if the new firmware (yet to be delivered) doesn't fix it then they will replace the router...but with what?

Which router? As far as I know, the reverse echo fix is for the WRTP54G and the RTP300. Unfortunately, they don't seem to have pushed it this weekend. Time for me to get back on the horn with Tech Support and find out what's going on.
You shouldn't have to call
Vonage
to get the firmware. It should be delivered automatically.

I know everyone is having the echo problem. Is anyone else having the poor wireless problem?

My wireless connection is solid as a rock. I even put the cable modem and router in my basement and the signal reaches all the way up to my den on the 2nd floor without any problem.
The area behind my TV was getting
way
too messy with cables for the TV, cable box, X-Box, VCR, DVD, cable-modem and router. Not to mention power strips to run all of this. Things are much cleaner now that I relocated the networking equipment to the basement.

Post subject: Where's the firmware?
I called tech support twice yesterday and the first guy told me to reboot the router and it would upgrade. I waited an hour and called back and the second guy had no idea what I was talking about. Now i'm wating for a call from an engineer. Why can't we just download it from an ftp site? Maybe it's time to go back to Verizon!

I just got the
1.00.47
firmware on my router!!
I'm not sure if this is because I emailed my tech support contact at
Vonage
and asked to be part of the beta, or if it is officially released now, but I checked the router home page and it is now at 1.00.47.
The reverse echo is gone.
This is absolutely great. I just had a long conversation with my wife at home. She tried all the phones and there was no echo at all - corded or cordless all had great quality.
This was my only real reservation about my decision to switch to
Vonage
and now it is fixed. Huzzah!
I know there are some other issues, and I'll probably ask about them on this forum, but for now I'm just basking in the echo-free calls.
