Did he mention what the fixed going from 1.00.43 to 1.00.45?
Unfortunately, no. I'm not sure what was fixed this week.
What exactly is the upload QOS issue? Do you have a link to a discussion of this issue?

If you are using your RTP300 as both your
voip
box and router try uploading files while talking on the phone. You'll make the person on the other end very frusturated. If you're struggling for where to upload a large file, try yousendit.c*m.

Have we figured out what 1.00.45 fixes at all? So far I've not found a single thing.

Now THATS the question of the day, TPA. All of the kings horses have not been able to figure that one out...

Well, I had 1.00.43 and finally learned that C2C stood for "Click To Call", and realized that might actually be kind of useful to me, so I installed the
Vonage
software and after one successful C2C 4 subsequent attempts all failed miserably. I only did some minimal debugging before giving up on it, figuring the convenience of not having to dial wasn't worth the inevitable time and frustration of reporting/researching/debugging the problem. However when I noticed I had 1.00.45 I tried C2C a few more times and each attempt was successful. So maybe the firmware helped, or maybe it's completely unrelated to the root cause.
I also think 1.00.45 might have "fixed" the problem of people being able to successfully use *70/#70 to turn off Call Waiting, because that sure doesn't work now. But maybe it was broken in 1.00.43, I dunno, I never used it just read about it here.
I too would love for them to fix the upload Quality of Disservice problems, that drives me nuts. Maintain a high quality voice connection while using the Internet my ass.

Ok, I can't be the only one that really doesn't have too many issues...I can run my database, two simultaneous calls, a web trainiing session, 3 IM programs etc and not have any issues.

Other than the echo issue, I have no others. And I think I may have fixed the echo issue tonight by dropping my bandwith throttling to the lowest setting. At least, tonight was the first time my Mother said she had no echo, and it was after that setting change. I'm crossing my fingers.

Trowski, if you're not running any QoS then you can tax your upload by sending a file to yousendit.c*m while talking to someone on the phone. Let us know if they complain.

Post subject: how do I get RTP300 firmware?
Hi everyone,
This is my first post here, & of course I'm here b/c of a problem.
I've had
Vonage
for about 2 weeks & am ready to send it all back because of the echo problem.
I've been reading the threads about some new firmware maybe kinda helping with the echo. However, links within this thread to the firmware aren't working, and Google, the
Vonage
site, & the Linksys site offer nothing to download (I'm looking for v1.00.45 to start with).
Where is everyone finding this firmware? I'm also following the info about that Texas instruments firmware fix to show up next week - so I'd especially like to know about that too!
My marriage is also being affected!
Thanks!

Haven't yet. I figured two calls, plus logged in at work, file sharing with the instructor of the class, 3 messengers going, 2-3 open windows going, Outlook etc...I did that all with my RT31P2. I wil be more than happy to simulate it wit someone when they have the time.
