A friend of mine dropped me a link to a new product called a Broadband Booster, made by Hawking Technology, when I was complaining about some Voip bandwidth issues. The product literature claims it is supposed to "boost" internet applications as they exit the network on onto the internet so as reduce "internet lag."
I am not pitching this product. I have never heard of such a thing before. I am a little suspicious of it, but I am not a techie.
Could someone with some technical background comment on whether this is just hype or not.
The product literature can be found here: http://www.hawkingtech.com/products/productlist.php?CatID=36&FamID=80&ProdID=216 |

Yes, this product may in fact help you based on the network configuration you have in your signature and my own interpretation of what type of traffic that implies.
We have previously discussed this in a thread titled Broadband Booster now available.
I certainly would make sure that you can get your money back if it doesn't work for you. |

Thanks a lot, man. My bad (!) for not doing a forum search; it's obviously a lazy Saturday afternoon. |

I had my doubts about this product, rightfully so I believe.
However, I have received positive reports about it from trusted sources. |
