I recently moved to Toronto and signed up for Rogers Ultra-Lite High Speed Internet service. I was planning on also signing up for Vonage phone service but I am concerned it may not work.
For my level of Internet service I get speeds of 136 kbps down and ~72 kbps up. Are these speeds fast enough for Vonage service? What if I don't use my computer when I make a call? Will that make a difference?
I would consider upgrading my service in order to get Vonage to work, but the next level of service, Lite, does not increase the upload speed. I would have to goto the 'Express' level, which is way to fast for my needs.
Any comments, suggestions or ideas are more than welcome.
Thanks!

I dont think anyone in these forums have tried using vonage over the Ultra-lite speed from rogers. Most people have it over the Rogers Express or Extreme.
I supposse you could just try it. If you are having bad QoS issues, then I would upgrade. But make sure to post a reply to this whether it worked or not under the Ultra-lite.
