Well damn - after changing the level on my system I was able to send faxes and my alarm worked. hmmm. My voice quality was not affected. Currently my ATA is behind my router but I'm about to move it in front. Sorry that didnt' help you.
Well I had Vonage change the packetization level to 10 and that didn't fix the fax problem, not to mention that the audio was made much worst doing so.
Reducing the packetization level should does not decrease the audio quality. Do you have any peer to peer bandwith hogging applications like Bit Torrent or Kazza running on your network? If so, disable them and try your fax again.
