quick question:
I currently have Vonage (very happy with it), is it possible to use my voice line as a shared fax line also? Or do I have to get a seperate fax number to be able to send and receive faxes?
Thanks |

you can (try). they can tweak the fax line to make it more data friendly, but most people have success without one. |

I have two lines, one for home use and another for work use...I use the home line as a fax line also and don't have any trouble. |

How do you have your fax setup? I have been told that in order to have the fax and phone on the same line I need to have distinctive ring capabilites from my phone company. Otherwise, I have to manually answer the fax. |

I just have a splitter coming out of the back of the device, and it goes into my Lexmark all in one....Nothing fancy at all... |

My problem is that the fax and voicemail don't play nicely together. If I set the fax to autoanswer the call kicks into the fax before it goes to VM. People can't leave messages if auto answer is on. I'm using the Brother MFC-7220. |

I had to tinker around a bit. I only send/receive a few faxes a week, so for me it is easier to just set it to auto answer when they come in.. Most of the time I have been scanning to PDF files and sending that way as I get confirmation of receipt etc... |
