I'm hoping somone out there has had some experience or luck finding a USB phone that works with Vonage SoftPhone. The Vonage FAQ states that you can use SoftPhone with a full-duplex soundcard ... or any USB phone. We have Nortel USB/Network phones at work and they certainly do not work with Vonage Softphone. I called Vonage to see what USB phones they considered "any" and they said that I could go to "any electronics store and buy a USB Phone". When pressed for examples or known USB phones that work with SoftPhone they changed their story and said that the USB Phones would be availble from them later this year.
Well, it's good to see that Vonage CS still can't find it's butt with two hands and a flashlight.
Net2Phone offers a couple of different USB Phone solutions, but before dropping $50 - $200 on one I'd like to hear if anyone else has tried it.
Thanks! |

Has there been any update on USB phones for Vonage SoftPhone? The page still says "any USB phone" but I am reluctant to buy one without knowing if the phone will work with SoftPhone... |

just picked up a Skype USB Phone XVP640 at WalMart yesterday for use with my Softhone. Only thing that doesn't seem to work with regard to this is the disconnect feature. I can flash between calls, initiate calls, and dial from it, and the sound is pretty decent. All things considered, beats the heck out of a headset & boom mic. |

I use the CyberPhoneK (USB) which uses the voipvoice driver. Mine is branded Voiceglo (which I no longer use) Excellent digital sound with Vonage softphone. Check Walmart for a range of other USB phones. Most advertise use with Vonage. (Check product descriptions carefully) I'm developing an urge to try the IOGear speakerphone, myself.
