Post subject: Alarm problem using leviton 1X7 security module no dial tone
Having problems wiring the leviton security module in as depicted in a previous post. Main phone works as well as the other two phone lines wired into the leviton module only when I turn the alarm interface on the leviton to the Off position. The minute I try to turn it on, the two extra phone lines shut down. Anyone have an idea. I've been working on this for hours.....

Just a guess, could you alarm cabinet have a "capture mode" and when you turn off the alarm. The cabinet is "capturing" the line and terminating any connection that is wired past the cabinet?

It sounds like the incoming phone lines are cross wired or not on the "in from demarc" IDC (top one). Please call Leviton technical support for assistance at 1-800-824-3005 and select the first option to reach technical support for this product.
