I suppose we will need to wait until December to see if the CS was upfront with me.

I have a small feeling that you did not get the point....
Also, a cancellation statement on the 25th? Interesting, isn't that the date you started this thread?

Yes it is the same date. But it appears to be a credit of some sort, as the CS rep was a "Retention" Rep.

Got me why they call it a "Cancellation Statement." Account balance is also "Balance ($136.20)" A credit.

Any Vonage CS reps here know?

... and, yes, I "got the point!"

The Retention department is different than the service department. So that implies that you were looking to leave. I still just don't get it...
So if you just call the number you provided, then you get the account management department...not the retention department...

Yes, I called and spoke to a very nice CSR. (The phone was answered quickly). I told her about the supposed ACR implementation date of August and that I was quite disappointed that it was still not a feature. I told her my intention of terminating my service, and she connected me with the guy in another department... I am not sure, but I think it was this "Retention" department.

I explained to him that I had already received four months of free service and that this period would run out at the time ACR would be offered (Supposedly August).

He talked me into staying with Vonage. He offered me the free service, along with a promise, that ACR would be offered at the end of the year--mid-to-late December as he put it.
I was very polite with BOTH CSRs. They, in turn, were very professional and courteous.

I can only imagine that one reason why they offered me the free service is that I rarely use my home phone. I know I use it less than 150 minutes a month, but I am paying for the "Unlimited" plan. At any rate, I thanked him very much and told him that he retained a very pleased customer.

Now I will still get "Anonymous" calls, but soon I hope this will end.
Thank you, CSRs at Vonage. I DO hope you have the "Bells" worried as they should be.

PS- The other VoIP service I use is for international out-going calls only. It is my line, but used by another person as theirs.

This makes more sense. So basically again it goes back to once your "free" four months were up, you called up again, threatened to leave, most likely threatened fasle advertising etc, and got four more months, all on the rest of us paying customers dime..Real nice..

Here is a suggestion. Take your freaking phone numbers off your signature, your profile, etc! Along with your address, and other personal information.

There is one good way to not get anonymous calls.

Jesse you aren't getting the point that i'm making here, once management realizes that this is clearly wrong trust me you aren't getting the credit...matter of fact I hope that they charge you for the service. Your "issue" about the caller id not showing up on outbound calls it isn't a feature and your "crying" and time spent with the company in my opinion maybe a month or 2 credit tops that is about it. The customer care rep that gave you the credit in my opinion is not very good for the company. I feel there should be a balance of business needs and customers needs and clearly in this thread balance has not been used.

You sir in my eyes are a scammer and a fruitcake, and i'm glad you left your infomation up and you posted this wonderful thread on how much of a leech you are. BTW there are rep's that don't have title's that go this forum also. So don't talk to me like I don't know what is going on with your account for a second.

So in the future don't be cocky about what you got going on cause it might just be taken away from you.

For the customer's and rep's that come here with honest questions complaints and solutions do a service for the Vonage and VoIP community. I'm very sorry that this jackass came on here and gave a false idea what Vonage is about. If you deserve the credit you will get the credit, if you didn't deserve well you probably didn't.

Dconner please lock this thread.....

Why would I threaten anyone? That makes no sense as Vonage has never officially advertised ACR, so how could one threaten "false advertising?" Issuing threats for monetary gain is extortion. That is unthinkable to me. Please don't impune bad motives... you are better than that.

Repeating... Vonage OFFERED the free months to me! Is that so difficult to understand? If this offends you, complain to Vonage, not me.

I was getting Anonymous calls long before this forum started, and getting them on my landline before Vonage. Hopefully, this will be rectified soon.
