I just can't get Call Transfer to work. I've tried everything that I can think of. I am aware that I can only transfer someone who has called me first. I am aware that I must put the caller on hold by using the flash button. I have dialed #90 + 11 digit number + #.
I never get a dial tone. I do get a fast busy signal. I have tried it without the trailing # sign with the same results. After 10 or 15 seconds I will try the flash button only to find my caller still on hold.

I have called customer service to either be placed on hold and forgotten about, or the CS rep gives me the equivalent of a "Duh!". What do I have to do to resolve this? Do I need to bribe someone or what? Is customer service always such a waste of time?

Any helpful comments would be appreciated. Thanks. Frustrated

Most likely they have to program the #90 in the phone, for some reason some of the phone options aren't pre programmed in the device's. Tech Support has access to do this.

Customer Service/Care wouldn't know how to do this you must speak to Tech Support.

Oh sorry. I've just created a signature to display that pertinent info. The ATA I'm using is in the RT31P2.

There should be a signature, now, at the bottom of the post. So, you say it has to be enabled by tech support? Easier said than done. I get short of patience while on hold indefinitely with outrageously loud music in my ears. Sad

On my RT31 & the RTP300, I'd hit flash, #90, wait for the dial tone to stabilize (stop stuttering) and then dial the number (any number of digits, 7, 10, or 11), then wait for the next tone & hang up, and the call was transferred. I do believe hitting Flash at the end cancels it.

I never get that final tone that signals that the transfer has gone through. I get a stutter tone or fast busy and the call is never transferred. I've tried it every way from Sunday and it's clear that there is a problem if the user manual is to be believed.

It's now been 25 minutes and I'm still on hold with Vonage. Maybe I've made a mistake going with a company that appears to fail in supporting their service. Sad

It's now been 30 minutes on hold with Vonage. Well beyond my low BS threshold. Not a sound on the phone. I don't even know if I'm connected or was disconnected sometime during the last 35 minutes now. I am getting very disappointed. I've got better things to do than waste my time and money here.
