My Motorola VT1000 is acting flaky and I am going to call Vonage to try to get it replaced. Any suggestions on what I should ask for? I have a router, so I don't need a TA with a router unless there is a compelling reason to do so.

If you call you are getting a RT31P2....They are not shipping MTA anymore. |

I'm not sure if you can con them into shipping you a RTP300 instead of the RT31, but it's been a much better voice adapter for me than the RT31. There were some firmware issues with the early RTP300 routers, which caused them to stop shipping them, but they will be shipping them again soon, worth the wait in my opinion. |

I have an order in right now for a rtp300...supposedly they are shipping again, but my order is still in process. Will keep you updated. |

I am a new customer and I just got my kit yesterday and I received the RTP300 I had to upgrade the firmware to the latest version and it works great. ONe thing that i will tell you is that the instructions state that you should plug in your phone line before powering it up. ANd according to the CS rep that will cause the firmware upgrade (inital install) to fail. This is what happened to me. But if it happens to you then all you need to do is call CS and they will repush the package to you. First call and I am impressed with CS for Vonage. Now all they can do is go down. Ray |
