I have a WRTP54G with new .43 firmware and when i do a *70 on dial tone I get three beeps that sound like they should be followed by a womans voice saying "If you would like to make a call please hang up and dial again..." I assume from this that I am having your same problem. *70, no go. |

Vonage Tech Support can fix it now if you call them....or you can wait for the next firmware update to fix it. |

Called Vonage and they told me to dial #70. It worked like a charm. He claims that #70 is the new code and that they would update the website. *70 would give me 3 ascending tones like when you call a disconnected phone number. Tested #70 with only success. |

This is configured on the router, so however they decide to configure it on yours is how it will work. |
