There is also a standard MWI State setting (I assume Message Waiting Indicator) flag which you could probably ask them to turn on.

I am not sure but I know that when they did the firmware update on my adapter today after I did my initial install I did have the message waiting light on when I left a VM for myself. They upgraded me to 1.43 I believe. I have a VTech phone as well but not sure of the model number right now since I am at work. But I would think that Vtech would used the same Technology on all their phones to make it simple. But that may make too much since.

How do you get into that area? I tried logging on with user/tivonpw (or wahtever it is) but I can't login from the main page, it only let me use that username/password to reset the voice section, so I still don't know how to get into the Voice tab.

Oh, and one annoyance I have to vent about this phone... the MWI light ony works with voicemail services, it doesn't work with the built-in answering machine. How stupid is that? So for the last several years I've had a phone that would tell me if there were messages from a service I didn't have, but not if there were messages stored on the base unit. Reallly smart. And now that I have a voicemail service that should provide me the indicator it still doesn't work! Oh, the irony! Everytime I see the dark LED on the handset it makes me want to throw it away!

I just got an RTP300. Previously I was using a Motorola VT1005 and a PAP2.

Both of the older devices worked fine with my Uniden 8866 voicemail indicator.

The RTP300 seems to be very spuratic. The VM indicator came on once..about 10 minutes after I left a message. After I listened to the message, the indicator would not go out.

I still have the VT1005 in my closet...guess its time to go back.

Actually I've found that the Message Indicator on the Uniden doesn't come on until I pick a handset and hear the stutter tone.

Same thing with turning off. It turns off when I pick up a handset.

it shouldn't be like that. Vonage uses both fsk and stutter, and the uniden should support both, or at any rate, it should work off of one of them.

Yeah... I agree it should work... It works immediately with my Motorola... just not with the rtp300.
