With simultaneous ring the caller is sent directly to voice mail if the vonage number called is busy rather than allowing time for one of the other numbers that also ring to be answered. Simultaneous ring on busy should allow a delay before going to voice mail. |

This occurs because call waiting is disabled? |

That looked like a good bet but I enabled call waiting (on both lines) and it still goes directly to voice mail. (it doesn't seem like this should happen with call waiting enabled so now I wonder if call waiting works -I'll check that) |

Along this note, my problem with SimulRing is that I have it ring my Vonage line and my cell phone. What does this mean? It means that I cannot call home from my cell phone!
If I do, since it is also ringing my cell phone, and my cell phone is buys, my cell phone's voicemail immediately picks up.
The feature add (to stay on forum topic!) would be to modify SimulRing so that it doesn't try to SimulRing the number if the incoming number is the same as the SimulRing "outgoing" number. |

Thanks for bringing this up. I LOVE the SimulRing feature and have set it up to ring the house, my cell, and my wife's cell for all incoming calls. However, my wife and I can no longer call home from our cell phones because they immediately roll to their own voicemail.
I 2nd the motion for the following feature request:
Please add intelligence to SimulRing so that if an incoming number is on the SimulRing list it isn’t “rung” as part of the SimulRing. |

I'll 3rd that motion!
I, too, have set the SimulRing to call my cell phone and can no longer call my own home without the cell phone's voicemail picking up.
Fortunately, we have 2 vonage lines at my house, so when I need to 'phone home', I call our second number... which is set to SimulRing our other cell phone. |

I hear that! SimuRing is useless because of this. Great feature, but needs to be intelligent enough when calling home from cell phone, that it doesn't try to ring the cell phone back. |
