I've been signed up for 2 weeks w/ Vonage and generally its been OK. Although I'm a bit worried about having a nitemare w/ my LNP..

Anyways, one of the features I thought was mega cool when I first signed up was Click2Call which worked great right out of the box.

About a week ago I decided the original number I had requested to port (did not do eLOA on it) wasn't the one I wanted to use, so I called up the folks @ Vonage and requested that it be changed to a different existing landline for the port (which they did).

But now, Click2Call has stopped working for me..... The window pops up and shows the new requested port number in the top box, and says the call was "successfully initialized" but my phone never rings........

I spent a good hour on the phone tonight w/ Jose in tech trying to resolve it.. He did all kinds of updates on my RTP300 (connected to a WRT54G), including moving my line to Line 2 and then back to Line 1, but this still didn't get it working...

Anyone that works at Vonage have any clue why this stopped working? I assume when the number was changed, someone forgot some small setting? Please help as I really find Click2Call useful......

This is stupid, but...

The Click2Call software require that you select the Vonage number to use when placing the call. Did you change that setting?

Click-2-Call doesn't work with the RTP300 nor WRTP54G routers. (DOH!)

Really? That ****...... Although I recall getting it to work fine before the number change.

Oh and yes, there is only 1 number listed in the Click2Call window and that is the right one (the new number).

Hopefully a firmware update is coming that will let this work? I don't see how this is different from when I use #5 for Busy Redial and Vonage calls me up and then connects the call?

Vonage says they're working on it... Whatever that may mean. With basically every new customer who's ordered Vonage directly from their website since Aug 1 or anyone who's bought the WRTP54G retail having this problem, I'd imagine they would be interested in fixing it soon, but we'll see. I chatted with Vonage last night and they gave no indication as to how soon a new firmware version would be released.
