Post subject: Does anyone know how simultaneous ring works?
If I have Simultaneous ring set up is the call released if it rings the non
Vonage
number? How is the call terminated? Are there QoS issues if its a land line? Your help is appreciated.
Thanks.

I don't know what you mean when you say "is the call released"
I used simu ring to my cell phone when I went on vacation and my understanding my home
Vonage
phone and cell phone rings at the same time and you can answer either.

What if another call comes in while you are still on your cell phone with the previous call? Will it ring busy? If not, how many calls can come in before it does ring busy? Assuming your cell phone can handle multiple lines at once?
Actully a cell phone is not a good example. A business phone that has several lines is really what I am talking about...
Thanks.

It will not ring busy. It will ring your
Vonage
line and any other numbers in your Simulring list that are not in use and then, if not answered, it will forward to your
Vonage
VM. If all the lines in your Simulring list are in use I assume that it will either transfer directly to VM or possibly give calling waiting tones on
Vonage
phone and then goto VM.
In any case, the phones in the Simulring list do not need to be able to handle multiple lines as any additional calls would be processed by either call waiting or VM not by ringing additional lines.
Hope this helps.
