I just re-read the original post. My problem is slightly different. I get caller id with telco or Vonage, but when both lines are plugged into the vtech, NEITHER the telco nor Vonage work. Unplug either line and voila. I have checked polarity of both lines and it's good. And the vtech phone cid works fine with 2 telco lines so it's not a function of 2 lines. It's just a telco plus Vonage that it fails.
Any ideas are appreciated. (besides trashing the Vtech)
Thanks TerryK |

Just an FYI.
CID is working now on both my telco line and my Vonage line. The only change I made was to connect my Vonage unit to my house wiring (after disconnecting the second line from the telco of course). So now I have SBC telco on line one (through house wiring of course) and Vonage on line two (also using house wiring).
I have no idea why this config works and plugging from Vonage to the phone directly didn't, but at this point, I don't really care cause it works.
Just thought I'd let everyone know how the situation was resolved in MY case just in case someone else stumbles on this thread. |
