I had occasion to email customer service about minute usage on my limited account. I noticed that unlike most CS email sites, I did not receive a stock acknowledgement that my email was received and that "you will receive a response within 48 hours" or whatever. I am just curious to see if anyone used the email route and their problem was handled to their satisfaction.

I've fired off a couple of e-mails & never received any responses nor resolutions because of them. Seems to be the digital equivalent of a black hole. Cry

2 weeks ago I was emailing a problem I was having with 800 numbers, every day for a week. I never received any kind of reply, so I emailed my contact on the Executive Response team and I had the entire problem resolved fast. I hate having to resort to bothering him, and it is a shame I even had to.
I was also having a problem changing my 911 address since we moved last month. I couldn't get that accomplished, but 1 hour after emailing him my address was finally updated, after a month of using the normal channels.
It is wrong for people to only do their jobs when you force them. If I acted like that I would get my butt fired.

No responses from customer care to my emails. However, there is some good news for you if you want to request credit.

Do NOT send emails... log into your Vonage account, go to Billing and request credit from there (you need the transaction ID). It has worked for me. Within a few hours, I did get credit (good news obviously and I was very impressed) but there was no email from Vonage telling me that they indeed issued credit, explanation, etc.

No ticket number involved yet because I haven't tried to call. The situation is simple. I have a limited plan of 500 minutes. My plan goes from the 12th of the month through the 11th of the following month. I made two calls on August 11th for a total of 43 minutes and these calls, clearly marked on the dashboard as having been made on the 11th, were charged against my minutes for the following month. The previous month I had over 100 minutes left on the 11th after the two mentioned calls. I am in the Eastern time zone and both calls were made before midnight.

I just want to clarify when the plan turns over since this has never happened before for calls made on the last day of my cycle.

I haven't had billing issues yet, but Vonage really should respond to their e-mails or stop accepting e-mails. Even the worst companies I've dealt with send out an automated response in 1 hr, and a human response within 7 days. The best send out human responses within an hour of receiving the message.

Your plan doesn't start at midnight, it starts at GMT, which is at 8PM. This happened to me and that was the response I received.
