I have been told repeatedly over the past 2 weeks by Vonage TS that a firmware release for the WRTP54G router to fix a problem I am having with C2C is 24-48 hours away. I have spent hours of personal time and over an hour of test calls and calls to support on my 500 minute plan trying to get them to admit it was their problem and then trying to get it resolved. Further I have had service for almost a month now and have not been able to use an advertised feature.

I have been told that this issue is being experienced by all users of the WRTP54G unit. Can it be that difficult to get a firmware update pushed out to resolve this issue.

Is it asking too much to receive a credit for the minutes I have spent on support hold and the many 1 minuted failed C2C attempts I have made.

Most important, how much longer is it going to take to puke this firmware update out!!!

no one cares about your rant, we've all had similar issues with support at one time or other, so what is the problem you have?
what firmware revision do you have?
800 numbers, including Vonage support, do not count against your 500 minutes.

As stated extensively in this forum and in this very post, my problem is that C2C simply does not work on my device with the current latest firmware revision of 1.00.37. Further, each time I would try C2C having Simulring enabled it would show a 1 minute debit to my available minutes even though no call was completed. Considering the many, many times I tried it, this adds up.

You are correct, however, I have had a further issue that when I attempt to call Vonage's 800 number I am rudely disconnected at random times on hold. If I call their non-toll free number it seems to work much better and hold times are less. In addition I have had to make some of these calls from work during the day to get in touch with more competent TS personnel.

your rant won't help and is only annoying, as is this post, since as you apparently know, c2c doesn't work with your router and it has been posted here before. starting another new thread on this issue doesn't do anything but create more threads about the same issue.

afaik, you're right about the 1 minute hits counting against you, and I agree it ****. it has come up before in this forum, but there was never a resolution or change.
