I was playing with paint & came up with this as a good visual representation of my setup. I thought I would put it on here in case someone needs help setting up a dual router configuration. It's kinda like a quick quide for this type of setup. This will be alot better than telling someone how to do it; just look at the image & voila. Maybe this will help someone out. When I first set mine up I would have loved to have had this to go by...............

Oh BTW, if you want the Vonage router in front just swap the routers around................

UPDATE:

The link appears to be dead. Also, if you want, you can post the image in the forums with the tools you find while posting.

I used the insert image tags above along with the url the pics are at & it just will not work............ Like I said it should work from the link now........... And nobody please say use the [img] tags & put the url in it because I have already tried it & it just don't work with yahoo briefcase............. If someone knows of a free pic hosting site that will work with this forum then let me know..............
Thanks,

I found out the problem is yahoo briefcase. If you use the free version of Yahoo briefcase they don't allow public sharing of photos anymore but they used to. Sorry for any trouble this caused. I really wanted this image on the forum to help people who is trying to setup a dual router configuration. I think it would be really helpful............ If anyone is interested & wants the image I will be glad to email it to you if you pm me with your email address. In the meantime I will look for a free image hosting site that allows public viewing...............
Thanks,

Looks good. The image link works now.

Is there any reason why you didn't connect from LAN of the BEF directly to the WAN of the RT31P2?

I have heard to your setup in the past but I wonder why you can't go directly to the WAN of the rt31p2?

Just curious, mundy5

What is the benefit of setting up two routers like this?
