Should work... Try closing all routers/computer and start them in the order mentioned in the Vonage installation guide. The sequence in which things start is extremely important.
If it does not work, may be you can try this setup:
One cable from Cable Model to "Internet" port in router. One cable from Router's Ethernet-1 to your computer.

I'll do my best (and thank you in advance for you patience and help)...
Cable line goes into cable modem. I then have the USB cable going from the cable modem directly to the computer for the internet connection which works fine.
I then have one ethernet cable going from the cable modem to the router via the internet plug in.
The ethernet 1 is plugged into the ethernet card on the back of the computer.
As mentioned before, this worked for the past 6 weeks until the reboot last night.
I have watched the phone lights and they are completely black. As a precaution I plugged the phone line into phone2 and still nothing.
