I recently installed Vonage in my house. I tried everything possible to get it to work with my Tivo SAT T60. I spent days working on it. It NEVER worked. I also was not able to use a dial-up modem (sadly I do not have VPN at work and must dial in on a laptop) They were not able to get this working for me either. I spent days on the phone with Vonage waiting on the phone line for 40min plus. It's not worth it. I cancelled mine. It took 3 hours one evening trying to get them to cancel the whole thing. Then it took me another hour 2 weeks later, to get them to remove the charges from my credit card. I suppose if you have nothing better to do than sit on the phone all day everyday for a few weeks then you can try it out. I complained about having to wait on the phone time after time to talk to the correct customer service rep. They said they were understaffed. OH well. They lost my business for good. Maybe some other Voip will get it right someday soon. I went back to Verizon local phone service. |

Vonage is going to fail. They do not provide customer support any more. Only read from a script or disconnect the line when they do not know the answer.
Phone line connection to India is also very very bad. |

However, the phone support isn't even necessary for the majority of customers. When someone plugs it in and it just works, you won't see them complaining here.
I doubt Vonage will be going under anytime soon, as long as their SIP gateways keep chugging the packets. |
