Whe I attempt to call Time Warner Cables toll free number using my Vonage phone service I am never able to connect. Time Warner is my high-speed provider. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?? It has been this way since I started with Vonage and it's quite annoying that when I need to call Time Warner I have to use my cell-phone which has an awful signal where I live.

Some members have reported issuse with 800#'s and providing location does help Vonage techs look at your area

First I would suggest are you using this number and not able to get though?

RoadRunner Technical Support at 877-313-2337 (Voice).

Next Live Technical Chat Support is another way to talk to RR to fix issues, very easy to use if your not familiar already

Next Call you local TWC they can address issuses or send out a Technicain

I have RR/AOL and Vonage so far for 2 months no problems with any except setting up e-mail accounts which I resolved these issuses with live chat

As to the Question why... make sure you are using the RR correct 800# then try several other 800#'s Then post some information about your system set up for techs to look at ... area code, etc

Another remedy would be to call the non toll-free number. Domestic Vonage calls are free, so "800," "888," etc. calls are not necessary for Vonage customers. Some businesses are reluctant to disclose local numbers, as has been my experience, but using a resource such as http://anywho.com helps.

True if you have the unliimited plan. However, if you have the 500 minute plan, the toll-free number does not count against your minutes, while the non toll free number does.

Unable to dial certain toll free numbers

The toll free number that you are trying to dial may be a regional toll free number and not a national number. Companies who are using regional toll free numbers are paying the toll charges for this call. Since calls are routed via the Internet with the Vonage service the number that you are dialing from may be recognized as a long distance number and the call may not be completed.

Exactly. The relay for 800 calls is in Newark NJ (Area code 973).

What a lot of businesses do to keep thier 800 numbers cheap is accept calls from only certian area codes.

So lets say I live in cali adra code 123, and own a computer store. Why do I need people from jersey calling me? Im going to only accept 800 calls from my own area code.

When you call me from Vonage (even though your phone number is 123 area code), it routes to newark, NJ, i see it as a 973 number and do not let the call connect.
