Extra ring on outgoing call after party answers

I feel like I read something about this a long time ago on the forum, but I can't find it...and it wasn't an issue for me then.

When we make an outgoing call on our Vonage line, after the person we're calling answers, I can still hear one more 'ring' (over our voices). Any fix to this out there?

I too have that same problem but only when I call a Verizon cell phone and their voice mail answers. If they actually answer their cell phone, I do not get the extra ring. Only on their voice mail. Weird.

No fox for this. What happens is the server sends a request for the phone adapter to *ring* every 5 seconds when you make a call.

If they pick thier phone up 4-4.9 seconds after the last ring, it takes a second for the server to acknowledge someone picked up and it still sends the extra ring.

Don't know if this should be on the same topic, but it also involves Verizon cell phones. Seems like verizon has trouble "understatnding" my touchtone whe I check voicemail from my Vonage line... I usually have to enter my PIN multiple times...Is this just verizon being a pain in the ASS??
