My replacement RTP300 arrived today. If I run into that same Mac clone issue I will not be happy.

Hi, this interested me so I called
Vonage
and asked them for this upgrade option and they said this exchange program does not exist, checked with supervisor and they said the same thing.
Any thoughts?

They will send a new RT300 overnight for $99.40 plus prepaid return shipping for the old device. After receipt of the old device they will refund the $99.40. You have 14 days to return the old device. This is an even exchange.

Tell them that your current router (if it's an RT31P2) has an awful "white noise" problem. The new router fixes that issue in spades.
Voice-wise, the new router is great. I'm having trouble with a Linksys VPN router that sits behind it - The VPN portion doesn't get through, but normal wireless web access does. Strange.

Good deal, took a bogus troubleshooting call initially, but then hung up, got a new guy and we're good to go, meanwhile they disable my current adapter until I get the new one, nice coordinating there,
Vonage
is
Vonage
, at least the DHL email confirms that it's on it's way overnight.
Thanks again.

Thanks for the info on that, sounds like a little CSR roulette to get the right person. The guy I talked to said anyone could handle it, that they all knew about it. He also said they'd leave the old one on till the new one arrived. Which makes sense to not lose phone service.
I haven't actually taken the offer yet. Wife wants to wait.

Post subject: Where to buy?
Well I have been on the phone with
Vonage
for almost 2 hours tonight.
After Weeks of problems and new RT31P2 I still have noisy calls, and HOT routers. I called and requested 2 new RT300's as I have one (1) RT300 and it works much better and they told me that the would have to send me 2 more RT312P2's which will be the 3rd time they replaced my router.
I asked how to get a 300 and they told me to buy one retail but I can find anywhere to do that.
This was after being bounced around and several times and even getting disconnected and having to be on hold again!
Does anyone have any ideas? I am tired or wasting my time with RT31P2's

Well, after being disgusted that I cant get what I want for a service I pay for I called back and was told that as of yestraday they stopped shipping 300's.
He was not sure why... but again I am on hold while he tries to figure out why.....
does anyone know if you (and where) you can buy a 300?

Hmm... I haven't heard anything about them stopping shipment on the RTP300's, just the RT31 routers. Still no official (or unofficial) word from
Vonage
on the discontinuation of the RT31 routers other than "we feel the RTP300 better suits our customers' needs." Whatever the heck that means.

Post subject: Some Support
Well I am now on hold with a very helpful guy who is attempting to stop my current orders of replacement 31 as I am not going to take the time (for the 3rd time) to tear apart my network.
He is going to try and get me 300's shipped - so hopefully he will be able to.
YOu would think it would not be this hard to do this...
Oh well - what can you do - right...

That's interesting. I thought they stopped shipping the RT31P2s. If this is true, then I got my RTP300 just in time. I called on Wednesday (8/17) evening and they shipped it out yesterday and I got it this morning. In any case, if true, they must have found a problem with the RTP300 and I'm sure they will start shipping it again as soon as it is fixed.
