Has anyone else been receiving calls where the caller ID is displaying the number but without the name again? I have had the name working since back in November, but suddenly the name has gone away. |

My last call a couple of hours ago had both name and number. I am in San Antonio, Texas. |

I just moved my ATA behind my firewall because of the virus and the traffic across my network has been crashing the box. Does anyone know what port Vonage uses to broadcast Caller ID information on? I'm thinking that I don't have port forwarding turned on for that specific port. |

I lost caller name last night (still have caller id), immediately after I placed my ATA behind my Pix 501 firewall. I'm not doing any port forwarding, relying on the "fixups" that come with the Pix.
All calls show caller id with "OUT OF AREA" for name.
Is there a specific port to forwrad for caller name? THat seems strange to me. |

It just seems like as soon as I moved the ATA behind the firewall because it kept crashing with all of the other internet traffic going through it the caller ID names stopped being displayed. I have a ticket into the support center but who knows how long it will take tech. support to respond. Hopefully it is just a port thing.
I'm even thinking about putting a DMZ in place pointing to my ATA until I hear back from Vonage. |

I just spoke with Vonage tech support. I was only on hold for 2-minutes from the very beginning (pushing the various options included) before my call was answered..... It's a mirical I know.
Vonage Tech Support said they are having a problem on their side with Caller ID Names not being displayed in Pennsylvania, Virginia and North Carolina. Their teir 3 team is working on it and it should be resolved by the end of the week.
We'll see... |
