A problem every once in a while is fine. It's bound to happen to every service provider. But a major problem happening twice in less than a week is downright unacceptable.

Oh, if you only knew of the crap I've put up with from AT&T Wireless (now Cingular)... Vonage looks VERY good right now. Hard to believe, I know, but it's true.

I have Verizon Wireless and they haven't gone down except on one occasion at 1:30AM on a Tuesday in the more than a year I've had service with them. I think it was only isolated to the Boston market though rather than their entire network. Obviously with Vonage it's their entire network.

Verizon's decent in this area, but not stellar. Not quite enough towers & coverage, but they seemed to be nice whenever I called them. As for my own cell, I use Alltel (the AT&T/Cingular was for business), which was GTE Wireless. Under both GTE & Alltel, service has been very good, as is customer service, with the longest on-hold time I've seen being 5 minutes. With the AT&T phone, I had the nationwide unlimited plan for $120/mo (after taxes & such), which was nice...when it worked, which even now, it isn't all that great and the sound quality's iffy, but the rate plan was good. I'd say most of the time I'm near an internet connection, so I figured switching to Vonage would buy me at least 1 decent dinner a month, so it's been worth it so far. Even with the screwups, it's been far more reliable than the

Was going to post a message about this. I have been a Vonage subscriber since January but am considering going back to landline. The service over the past month has been EXTREAMLY substandard. Either I cannot get my voicemail or I just cannot make calls at all. They need to spend more money on the service and less money on advertising.

The service outage has been going on for days now and Vonage is officially losing me as a customer as soon as the equipment arrives from a competitor. I signed up today with someone else. I am a business customer and I can't afford this. Also, I am completely fed up with their attitude. Obviously they are taking on more than they can handle. Half the time I sit down to work and all I can do is sit here and dial over and over, only to get the busy signal or "all circuits are busy" recording. I've reached my limit of patience.

Anybody happen to read the small print on their agreement. Maybe it states (like in a Eula license) a variety of things that people don't expect.

Like 'we're not responsible if you don't have service'. Like with software where the company isn't responsible if it screws up your PC or if there software doesn't work.

Just like last Friday, I again am unable to place outgoing calls. I've left a message at the CEO number - perhaps there will be a response. This is becoming very frustrating. Perhaps we'll see more people going to ATT CallVantage, etc. FYI, I'm in Oklahoma City, OK.
