Twice now I've gotten an "anonymous" phone call on my virtual number. It's been a FAX both times. We get this with our current POTS line, and it drives me crazy.
Once it was at 11:00 at night, and the other time it was at 4:00 in the morning! I was SO mad.
So I would like the ability to block "out of area" or "unknown" or anonymous calls, at the Vonage account level. Just send them straight to voice mail. It would be really good to be able to restrict them during certain times, like make it ring through if it's between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM, otherwise send it to voicemail.
This should be a fairly simple thing to do you'd think.
I actually suprised that you can't do more inside your account.
Ideas? I'm gonna be really pissed if I'm getting FAX SPAM at 4:00 in the morning all the time.
In my previous house a few years ago, I had a phone number that started with 847-818-xxxx
818 is the area code for somewhere in California, so I would get faxes at all hours of the day, anytime anyone forgot to dial a 1 while sending a fax to area code 818.
