I was curious, since my number cannot be transfered I would need to get a new number.
I want a 724 area code. The city "belle vernon" is listed under this areacode, the 3 digit extension for belle vernon is 930. So would I be guareenteed a 724-930-xxxx phone number? or is it possible to get stuck with a 724-655-xxxx number. (655 is for a city like 30 minutes away and would be a toll call if any of my local friends and family would call it)
thanks |

No the 930 exchange is registered to Verizon. However there are a number of CLECs in Belle Vernon, PA who have their own exchanges (i.e. 243, 247, 268.......). The exchange you get is dependent on who Vonage uses in your area. |

I live in Richmond, VA and Vonage uses Verizon for the local exchange so you may get a number that you want. |
