June 2, 2005 Awaiting Letter of Authorization June 8, 2005 Letter of Authorization (LOA) Received June 9, 2005 Transfer Sent to Carrier
Nearly two months, and I've literally only used the system only twice just to see if it works in my household. Just finishing paying my billing cycle for $50+. I've sent Vonage a few emails concerning billing, but no word.
Should I give it another month or should I just cancel?
Strangely enough, I work at Circuit City and have sold Vonage to many customers. However, I'm probably going to be more skeptical about selling Vonage to customers now that I've encountered this problem. Hopefully I won't have to cancel.
Any suggestions or comments? |

Sergio,
I take it you are talking about cancelling the number port, not Vonage all together? |

Cancelling all together. There's no point in paying for two services.....There's gotta be some steps one could take in order to make the transfer faster.
Any help would be appreciated. |

Have you considred cancelling the number port and making your Virtual Number permanent? If I may ask, what state and who are you transferring from? |

I've had my existing phone number for about 20 years now. I don't think keeping my Virtual Number permanent is an option. I'm transfering from Comcast in Chicago, IL.
Should I just restart the transfer process? Can I call somewhere and find out what's going on? |

I would call the LNP department at: 1-866-496-6359. They should open a ticket to see what the problem is. You should also ask for credit on your bill for the time you have been waiting.
Hope this helps. Keep us posted!

cancel it. Even if you don't have an issue with Vonage numebr transfers, they have proven that their customer service is LACKING.
Why deal with that if you don't have too.... |
