I scanned through the forum, but it doesn't seem like anyone has had this problem.

When I call out on Vonage, the person I'm calling doesn't receive any caller ID info. Therefore, my calls are usually sent to voicemail or ignored. I'm calling to cell phones, so I'm not sure if it shows as Anonymous, or if there's simply no caller ID info at all.

I put a ticket in with Vonage a week ago, and there's still no solution. This started suddenly about a month ago.

It doesn't happen on EVERY call, just most calls. I can call my cell phone 10 times in a row, and the caller ID might go through once out of those 10. I've called a few different phones, so it seems to be Vonage, and not the person I'm calling.

Has anyone else ever heard of this? Any solution, or special "code word" to tell tech support?

I think this is happening to me too, calls from home to my cell are saying "Unknown". No one has said anything to me about it yet that we've called but I've been wondering.

If you get it fixed let me know the code word.

Jim

This happens to me just recently. Last night, I have tried a quick test : made 27 calls, only 2 showed my numbers. The rest showed as "Unknown call".

I have a Linksys router. (not sure if it's the router's issue).

Yes, I'm in Johnston County, on Road Runner. I'm just barely inside Johnston County, so I may be 'served' by TWC in Garner.

The Vonage Support tried to monitor my router,,but they couldn't. That was why the support guy gave up and said he will report to their engineers.

As I said, I noticed this problem recently, so not sure if Vonage has problems with their network system.

I considered that, but it doesn't make sense that the port would be blocked SOMETIMES. When I had Vonage tech support on the phone, they had me make a test call to them (on a regular 10 digit number, not the 800 number), and they said the caller ID came through fine on that phone. Maybe it's not that our calls are originating in Raleigh, but that our calls are TERMINATING in Raleigh. Maybe whatever bridge Vonage has to POTS in this area is failing to pass caller ID? I don't know... This is all just postulation. I wish Vonage would figure it out fast, though.

They seemed to be able to monitor my adapter just fine, and said that nothing seemed out of place. While he was looking at "something on my account", several times he thought he found a problem, but when he 'fixed' them, the problem still existed. I have no idea what 'problems' he was finding.

I'm surprised the rest of you only started noticing this in the past few days. This has been happening to me for over a month.

I first noticed it July 10th in this thread but thought it was related to Simulring and was only on forwarded calls. Did you have that turned on?
