Every time the Web site is down I ask for the same feature to be added; some control of features via the touchpad. At least 4 times in the last 6 months I have call forwarded my number and have been unable to turn off call forwarding when I returned because the site was down.

It would alleviate a lot of the pain if the Web site wasn't the only way to control simple features like call forwarding. Even the old land line companies let you use a keycode.

There is now a (no) service announcement.

Same issues here in San Diego. More disturbingly, not all incoming calls are going to the network availability number. Also, I tried placing an outbound call that DID go through, but the other party was connected for a few seconds before I was able to hear him.

Annoying, to say the least.

Strange that inbound calls still work though...

However, when you decide to use Vonage as a primary line for a business, you also have to keep in mind that there are several veriables that can cause you problems.

Your local ISP, your local Electric company, Vonage network, etc...

If you HAVE to have a 100% working phone, there isn't such a thing. I remember when I had a CenturyTel as a provider. They had issues sometimes also.

I was a pretty early adopter. Since I use cordless phones exclusively, if electricity is out I don't have phones either way.

However, virtually all of my outages are due to some part of the Vonage system breaking down. When my service is interrupted primarily because of problems with my elecitrical service or my ISP, I'll worry about that.

No Vonage to Vonage
Ring back or fast busy only.
No call forwarding

Not for me. I've tried calling from my regular landline and the first attempt resulted in nothing...almost immediate disconnection and a dial tone. Second attempt rang on the Vonage end, but even when I hung up the landline, the Vonage phone kept ringing until I picked it up and hung up. Third attempt went to my cellphone (network availability number). Fourth attempt made my Vonage phone ring, but when I picked it up there was no call there, just a dialtone...meanwhile, the landline was still ringing as if it was waiting for the call to connect.

Oh well...

It will begin working when they get it fixed. I'm pretty sure that one of their techs isn't sitting around laughing about a prank he is pulling on customers. It's probably a REAL issue they are REALLY trying to fix.

I'm in Georgia and half of my service is down! My home number works, but my business line is down.

Can't get access to the website.

I suspect a DDos attack.
