My Parents and Sister cant call me. They get a message like, "the call cant be completed as dialed". But other people can get through. They have tried all ways of dialing my number but still get the same message.

Anyone have any ideas or had similar issues?

what phone carrer do they use? are other people with the same carrier able to get through? is this a newly assigned vonage number or did you transfer your old one over? and also, are they long distance or in a different area code?

They use bellsouth, but I think other people that use them can get through. It is long distance, they are in area code 770 and i'm in 706.
They've tried 1-706-***-**** and just 706-***-**** but still no luck. I can call them fine.

Oh, it is a transferred number.

Thanks.

unfortunately I have no idea. the only route I can think of is have them call bellsouth and ask what the deal is.

what does testyourvoip have to do with one or two particular callers receiving a non-vonage "call can not be completed" message when everything is fine with other callers?

I doubt their long distance has been disconnected. My dad retired from Bellsouth, and its from 2 different houses. If it was from one it might could be a mistake on Bellsouth's part but not with 2 having trouble.

But anyway, Thanks to all for trying to help out.

I get wacky Vonage behavior from time to time. rather than pull my hair out troubleshooting, I just wait to see if it goes away after a couple days.

It usually does.
