In all seriousness, my stalker has asked me to block her number today and I've told her that my service doesn't offer that. At least I can call 911 if she comes by the house again!
I even had a vonage rep harass me (had to hang up on her twice! She kept calling at bad times and wouldn't let me end the call politely) to offer a second line for 2 months, which I totally don't need. I'd have liked to block her.
Dang, maybe it's time to set up asterisk and switch to broadvoice. Enough of this crap! |

OK... I've been a Vonage customer now for about 3 years and have been annoyed by 2 things.
First, it's not clear why I can't get a local area code for the area I'm in. I have to settle for an out of area code because Vonage doesn't have any area codes for the central valley here in California. This isn't some small patch in the mountains... I'm talking about many counties in the middle of California.
Second is Annonymous Call Rejection and it's related features. This is a mainstay of almost every other calling service and for the life of me I don't know why Vonage doesn't have it.
It seems to me that if Vonage wants to keep their customer base and become a profitable company the would add this feature as soon as posssible. As soon as I move to the bay area I'm going to be switching my VoIP service to one that offers this functionality. |

This has been on my wish list for the two years that I've been a Vonage customer. WHY is it so hard to offer this feature when Vonage offers so many other features that aren't nearly as desirable?
Does anyone from Vonage read this forum? Is there any way to get real feedback and not a pre-written script??? |

This company is top heavy driven by marketing gurus riding the VoIP wave as far as one can go. 99% of vonage couldn't care less with this forum. 1% do care and read the forum, post valuable suggestions and legitimately try to make things work.
But they are too few. |

If this feature would be available then surely a lot of people would switch then to Vonage. Count me in? |

The reason Vonage does not offer or respond to requests to offer Call Blocking is quite simple: if Vonage customers had that feature they would be able to block Vonage Customers Reps (collection) as well as others unwanted calls. Don't hold your hands on your ass waiting for this feature.
Peace,

a) they can always exclude themselves from any lists
b) they can send you a letter to pay
c) they can terminate your service if you don't pay or answer the letter
Reasons not good enough.
I'm being harassed by the debt collectors who are looking for somebody else that lived at my address in the past. I have no idea where they got the number from since I had this number at my old address too. I need this feature.
Bump for an old thread. |

Vonage... if you don't get with the program and add such a common feature... |

Don't hold your breath, this company is on its way out. At this time in the ball game, Call blocking or any other feature you might think of wouldn't make much difference. |
