I read all the posts re tivo direct but I have a simple question, I hope.
I have two TIVO's ( from TIVO) both series 2. They are NOT networked in any way. Can I simply hook up vonage to my house line ( I know how to do that) or do I need all these exotic solutions?

You may be able to hook them to your Vonage phone line. Some people have had success with minimal adjustments to their settings.
Others have had no success and have had to fall back to other options. |

Yes you can use your home wiring, no it will probably not work without some changes. Try changing to the New York City dial-in numbers first, as this seems to do the most magic. That might be all you need to do. |

I hooked Tivo (series 1) into my phone lines here at the house. You would never know that it isn't a POTS except my Tivo wouldn't connect. I tried a bunch of things, but settled on an external modem for the Tivo and I have a 100% connect and download rate now.
