what does it say if e911 is enabled? from the recording I hear, it sounds like it's still forwarded to a psap. |

I live in midtown Manhattan and just dialed 933. It says that 911 is enabled, but says nothing about e911. In fact it adds that I may have to give my address, so I guess it has not reached my building yet. When e911 is enabled, what exactly will the message say when I dial 933? |

to be honest im not sure if it gives a general message to whether or not your activated. my best advice i can give you is to dial 911, when they answer say this is NOT an emergency, i am just testing my 911, etc etc, can you see my namer and address, thats what I did at least im in SI |

A little while back a Vonage rep asked forum members to test their E911, but another saw it and confirmed that you are not supposed to test E911 |

"Please do not test 911 without first checking state and local laws..."
It's kind of funny seeing three 2 Vonage reps suggesting one thing, and Vonage and another rep telling people not to do it. I'm not surprised people have trouble with CS. |
