Thank you so much! Here's what I've done:

I found an old Belkin F5D6231-4 Router in my basement. I plugged that into the cable modem.

I ran RTP300 #1 off the #1 port and the other RTP#2 off the #2 port and connected my 16 Port Switch to my LAN off the #3 Port.

I then ran the phone lines from the Adapters to phone jacks in the basement (after disonnecting my phone bridge from the outside world.

Amazingly (to me!) everything is working. Of course, I still don't have QOS or prioritization for voice; however, as soon as I get the Linksys Router later today I can simply swap that in for the Belkin.

I'll keep you posted. Already I'm experiencing better voice quality and QOS went to 75% (from the 30% range). No dropped calls yet.

Odd thing: www.testyourvoip.com no longer works with me, however, because it says it can't get past my firewall. This is obviously on the Belkin and I'm not sure how to adjust for that. THoughts?

You could try configuring the Belkin to temporarily forward UDP port 5060 to the PC you're running the test from. If it can't use port 5060, I think it tries port 6000 next...

You could also try temporarily putting the PC in the Belkin's DMZ (with the standard risks, of course)

I was having the same problem.

I was leasing my modem from Comcast until I purchased my own. When I replaced it Comcast had me register it online.
I just had a tech out to check why I kept loosing signal. Modem, router, cables, and spliter all checked out. The tech also said that I was receiving really good signal and was not sure what the problems was. He called in and had them check my account and they found that no modem was registered on my account. He told me that he was surprised my internet even worked as without the modem listed on the account their system should shut the internet connection down. He added my modem information to the account and I have not had any problems since.
