I got the new Linksys router from a retail store and signed up with Vonage through this [ADMIN EDIT - LINK REMOVED] which said 2nd month free. But I got my 2nd bill today, and I called CS, a rep told me that since I got the device from a retailor, they just waived my activation fee; so no more promotion.

But I didn't see any retail purchase excluded sign on the webpage I signed up through. Any ideas?

Well activation is $29.99 so if you have the unlimited for $24.99 you acutally gained a few dollars.

I am trying to convince some on to sign up with Vonage and if they don't get the first month free with a retail purchase this may pose a problem. Could someone confirm this please.
