I tried the link also and it must have been down. The original link is working I just tried it or here it is. http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~pmarks/homepage/?page=programs&platform=linux&program=chimer
Thanks to Paul248
Its an internal chime that doesnt come through your speakers but when it goes off, it is on the hour. Must click run each time you reboot. Pretty cool

Cool, I grabbed it last night. Neat program - it matches the binary clock on my desk at work (well, at least the hour part anyway).
I assume, colvard9, that you've got XP SP2 installed? When you're prompted to hit Run there should be a checkbox you can clear that says "always perform this check before running this program" or something like that if you get sick of having to click the Run button.
the chime comes through my internal speaker as noted here already, but I noticed if I use headphones it will play through them as well - really loud if you're not expecting it!
thanks, Paul248, for sharing! |

The link seems to be working fine now, so most likely Purdue was just having some trouble with their Internet connection. |
