My voice mail quit working a couple days ago. After spending an hour on the phone with support, he promised it would work in about 10 minutes. Well, 24 hours later still not working. I called again, which in itself is a feat to get someone, and they say voicemail is having issues....it does ring into voice mail but there is about a 30+ second pause before it will start the vm recording so the person calling thinks they just have a dropped call.

Is anyone else having this problem or is this just a BS line as the support spent over an hour with my yesterday trying to resolve on my line without telling me they were having issues.

Please advise...this is driving me nuts!

I just tested my voicemail and I did have a pause between when the phone stopped ringing and when I heard my greeting. It was not 30 seconds. It was more like 5 - 10 seconds.

Anyway, there have been a few complaints about voicemail issues this week. If you do a quick search of the forum you should be able to find them.

Our lines just started this this morning. I thought our system was down because I called home to check messages, it rang five times and then dead air. After seeing this thread, I let it sit and it was 15 to 20 seconds before my VM picked up. It's never done that before. Calling support now.

That's exactly what mine is doing...dead time, then about a 20-30 second pause before VM comes on. Please let me know what supoort tells you....thanks!

Wasn't sure where to go in the queue -- wasn't really a service interruption, but more a feature. Got a very new guy, I think, but he just came back on now and said they've had reports of problems and he's creating a ticket. I'm gonna email my good buddy who's been my support pal for three years and see if I can take an inside track too. We rely on our VM too much to have people think our phones are dead.

Me, too...I need that VM. Please keep me posted if you hear anything. It's very frustrating calling support. I know they are in India but I think Vonage's support is the worst I've ever seen!

It's had so many problems lately, I'm thinking of just resigning myself to the lousy voice mail service and buying an answering machine. Sad

Just tested one of my lines this morning and my message picked right up like it was supposed to. Looks like this issue is solved for me.

I actually love the voicemail features of Vonage. The second line I transfer my business calls to when I'm working at home makes it great to just forward an email with wav file to anybody who gets a message. When I"m on the road, I can keep up with the calls coming into my house (kids are terrible about checking voicemail), etc.
