I've been w/V for about 2 years now and just joined here today. I have a Cisco 186 ATA that only has 2 ports and I want to add more lines/numbers. Sales says its either 2 or 8 (could have said 6) but that for a 3 port, I'd have to buy another 2 and then stack it. I don'[t want to do that. Suggestions - pls. |

I guess it would depend on the applications, but I would recommend an Epygi Quadro 4X. It acts as a firewall, router, and pbx in one tight form factor.
I also believe that Sipura makes a plain jane ATA that will accomodate this port size. As far as functionality to application, I am unclear on that.

Don - TX on the come back
I'll check out your suggestion. OBTW - the 'application' is just plain Vanilla plug and dial. I am doing two other businesses at the same location and just need the Xtra numbers. |

Depending on what kind of plan you have, there might be problems getting a non-Vonage adapter on the network. Be sure to check with Vonage before buying it. |

P248 - TX for the input and I agree after looking at some other things after the last post. Appreciate those who stopped by to view.
Since I have 2Xtra openings on the 114 and that there's 'sanctioned' ATA's out there, for expediency and costs, I might just stack ttwo ATA's and run 2 from the router to solve my need.
I can't believe that in this day and age, what with so many micro's to small entrepreneurs starting their businesses, that I can be the only one here in America, that shares facilities and VOiP, and would need to use a 4pt instead of an 8pt ATA. Heaven forbid that there might be a 3-4 bedroom shared rental house somewhere in america that has 3-4 different tenants off of one ISP.
Anyhow, thanks to those who took the time. |
