Well.. My port from SBC Wi to Vonage completed as scheduled today after 40 days. The details are below.
On July 5th I contacted Vonage for a status update, got a stock answer, "we will tell you when we know". On July 15th I again contacted Vonage. This email was less nice and a bit more demanding of a solid answer. I never did receive an answer to the second email, but the port was scheduled shortly after I sent it. Maybe the Squeaky wheel does get oiled in the Vonage world
June 14, 2005 Awaiting Letter of Authorization
June 14, 2005 Letter of Authorization (LOA) Received
June 15, 2005 Transfer Sent to Carrier
July 22, 2005 Carrier Approved Transfer
July 25, 2005 Completed LNP Transfer
A friend waited 3 months for a number port from SBC Wi to Vonage, but he sent the Letter of Authorization by fax before they had the electronic system in place
