Can anyone here tell me how to configure the QoS for my RT312P2?
Basically, say for example I have my router going from the device to the computer and another line from an outgoing port going to my XBox. When I have AIM or MSN messenger running, then sign on to XBox Live, the internet connection seems to get cut off. Then, without touching any of the wires, I leave the XBox Live service on and go back to the computer, within minutes the XBox Live service gets cut off.
Now with a router, the point is to be able to share an internet connection between 2 or more devices. Its seems like a teeter-totter. If I'm on one, the other gets cut off. Can someone give me a hand here?
Thanks |

I wanted to suggest an alternate that may not even be possible in your situation. Many ISP's will give you a cheap or free extra IP address. In many cases it is possible to configure your router firewall to allow this additional IP address to pass through directly to a port on your router. This "pure" connection may solve your problem however I do not even know if it is possible with whatever router you are using? |
