Ok.. So I'm experiencing all kinds of wierdness right now with Vonage. I'm on hold with tech support.
Voicemail indicator won't go out.
If I call my phone number from a separate line (vonage or outside), it rings my house, then I get a voicemailbox. I don't think it is mine, though. It has a generic greeting. I can leave a message. Also.. when I go to retrieve messages, it shows no messages, even when I just left one.
Now..another really..really wierd thing...
If I call my Vonage phone number from my number (call myself), then someone answers the phone. Some guy. He said I have the wrong number. I asked him if his number is the same as mine. He said no. He wouldn't tell me his number, though.
HELP!!!! Someone is hijacking my vonage.. |

Doh...ok.. So I found out part of the problem... Something is screwed up on my line... so my phone calls are getting forwarded to my network availability #.
Unfortunately, I was a loser, and fat fingered the forwarding # for network availability, so that was going to someone else's phone number.
So now we just have to figure out why it is using the network availability # at all. |

Have you already tried powercycling the Vonage box? |

Ok..the voicemail indicator goes out now...miraculously.. I didn't change anything. But it goes out and Vonage voicemail says I don't have any messages now... even when I do..
I just left a few and can see them in the web interface.
Nice.. |

I was expecting one so I logged onto the voicemail webpage and sure enough there was one. I called voicemail again just to make sure but it still did not work properly |
