I am just getting started with Vonage. I just noticed that most of the names on my incoming caller ID indicate unknown name.
Is this normal or is there a problem. |

Are these land line numbers or cell numbers?
Most land line caller IDs have both name + number. cell phones only the number.
Also often times commerical (business) lines don't forward the caller id name. |

These are friends phone numbers, land lines, that used to be ID'ed completely before we switched. With Vonage, I only get unknown name and the phone number. Cell phones are identified as such. |

For my incoming calls most of them are identified with both the phone number and the name. Of the calls that have a number but no name, the Vonage Dashboard labels them as "No CallerID Available".
My phone's call display is displaying the same information as the Vonage Dashboard, except that the Dashboard is updated after the call is completed of course. |

I'm not getting any names showing up on my caller id either, on my phone or in the Dashboard - anyone know what we can do about it? |

I had this problem about a month ago. Called Vonage Support and opened a ticket. After three calls back, it was finally resolved. I'm assuming the tech reflashed the box, as he had me cold boot it after a 20sec power off.
I wish I had gotten his name, he seemed to know what he was doing.  |

I didn't quite recognize the problem until I read this forum... I'm only receiving information on incoming calls from Canadian locations, anything outside of Canada - I only receive the number but no name.
Is there a way to resolve this for the US calls? It previously worked with no problems so I don't know what has changed.
