Post subject: echo. dealbreaker?
I called my brother just now and could hear echo pretty good at times. I'm assuming this is common. Do most people just put up with it? Do you put up with it becuase it doesn't happen very often, or because you just don't find it annoying?
As far as I can tell this is going to be a limitation of any Inertnet based
Voip
solution since the roundtrip lag is signifigant. Any thoughts?

we are "power phone users." Even with the crazy stuff going on with our comcast (usual down/up of 1750/256 -- last three days it will clock 800/84, then 1650/250 then 400/120) we're still having pretty good phone quality. Occasionally I'll get an echoing call but they're the exception. I'm hoping once comcast finished the speed migration, which is due by the first of the month, we'll get rid of the issues with choppy voice that's just come onto the scene the last week or so. Again, though. It's not all calls all the time. totally workable for us.
