Post subject: Vonage Caller ID Tech Support Woes
Well, I've been around and around with
Vonage
Tech Support and they don't seem sharp enough to correct the problem.
When my original phone number was switched from ATT to
Vonage
, my Caller ID stopped working. I get "Unknown Name" and "Unknown Number". There are two medical facilities in my town who come through correctly. There is a long distant number from another state which comes through correctly. Everyone else comes through as described. These are numbers which worked prior to my old number being switched in.
I have spent countless hours on the phone with tech support, running debug, calling my phone from different phones within
Vonage
. On and on. Nothing is working and nothing is getting fixed.
I even went so far as to purchase a new adapter (went from PAP2 to WRT54GP2) with no change.
Anyone have a similar problem? What bothers me is that
Vonage
tech support isn't sharp enough to figure this out. Makes me wonder what else they don't know about their system.
